Job Description

PEOPLE is currently hiring a Digital News Writer to work on features content, with a focus on astrology, Mondays to Fridays during the set hours of 10AM to 5 PM EST. Guaranteed 35 hours a week. Creativity, a love for pop culture (and all things cosmic) and a strong understanding of best practices for SEO and creative ways content can live across platforms are all a plus. Absolutely clean writing on tight deadlines is a must. They should also feel comfortable pitching new ideas, scouring social media platforms for stories and pivoting between various content types, and being a self-started who works well with a team and independently. At least two year's experience writing for a news website in a high-velocity environment required. Experience at a national news brand preferred. Location: Remote
Pay rate: $30/hr The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
