SENIOR DATA ANALYST ------------------------ Peerspace invites people to find, share, and book the most magical spaces in the world. The Role We are looking for an experienced data analyst to partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing and the different business units to help them understand our users, our product performance and our marketplace as a whole. This is a key position with high business impact across teams and would be joining the Data Team as we are growing into a more predictive function. The ideal candidate: - Has a strong interest in developing data science and analytics solutions to address business problems - Can straddle the line between analytics and data science - Can interact effectively with technology teams, product managers and business stakeholders - Is self motivated and can unblock themselves when the perfect dataset isn’t readily available - Dives deeply into larger more ambiguous data questions - Is entrepreneurial and thrives in dynamic environments - Is looking to have ownership and drive the company forward with data - Is someone who would rather automate than do the same thing 5 times Some examples of typical problems the team tackles would be refining A/B testing processes, supporting search ranking algorithm changes, working with marketing to better capture the ROI from spend on different platforms, and market maturity analyses. Our stack includes: - Google BigQuery - DBT Cloud - Airflow - Python - Postgres - Segment - Sisense (Periscope) Responsibilities - Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Business units - Become a domain expert in key business areas - Run ad-hoc analyses to support high-priority projects from internal business units - Design and implement data models and dashboards - Drive initiatives to improve the quality our data models and insights - Collaborate with partners to understand their function and provide insights - Model, design, implement and automate business intelligence processes - Devise and implement new algorithms and data processes to improve the performance of our marketplace Qualifications - 5+ year of experience in this role or similar - High proficiency with SQL - Experience with integrating with or building and scaling data pipelines - Experience building with visualizations with Sisense, Tableau, Looker or similar - Experience communicating insights to business partners // Strong oral and communication skills with the proven ability to teach complex information effectively - Ability to work cross-functionality in an dynamic environment - Built attribution models, conversion funnels, A/B tests, KPI dashboards - Have experience in statistics and experiment design - Have experience in data-oriented languages like Python, R or Julia - A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Life Sciences or Social Sciences Preferred Qualifications - Have experience specifically with Airflow, DBT and BigQuery previously - Have experience with another two-sided marketplace Working At Peerspace The annual salary range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000. The actual salary amount will vary depending on the applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
