The Role

Our Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consulting Practice is looking for a Business Analyst or Consultant to join our journey as we engineer modern businesses to improve everyday life. We are seeking early-career candidates who are passionate about transformation, want to make an impact, and love working together to deliver flawless results for an end-client that really work!

With a focus on Change, Training, and Communication, our OCM Practice is an integral part of our Consulting offering, because we help organizations make changes successfully. We use proven methodology to create a client strategy and a change strategy to help drive business and IT strategies and implementations for the Fortune 2000. We support all types of Business and IT Strategy transformations such as Organizational Re-alignments, Digital Transformations, Business and IT Outsourcing, IT Package Implementations and Upgrades (i.e., SAP, Oracle, SalesForce.com, ServiceNow, & most industry leading practice packages), Organizational Design & Governance, Workforce Strategy & Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions, Target Operating Model Transformations, and more. We lead with a strong platform for integrated OCM and Technology, which sets us apart from the competition and makes this group a key partner in some of the biggest and most business-changing digital transformations in the industry.

To be successful, you’ll need a background that supports your ability to upskill and implement traditional change management capabilities such as Organizational Change Management Strategy & Planning, Change Impact Assessments, Readiness Assessments, Stakeholder Analysis & Engagement, Communications (Strategy, Planning and Implementation), Training (Strategy, Planning and Delivery). For these positions, we are considering people with transferrable skills, such as experience in Communications, Marketing, Teaching, Social Media, or Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning & delivery of standard and complex OCM engagements
  • Create content such as training materials
  • Develop roadmaps, and support implementations
  • Work as part of a team and support Senior Consultants and Managers in driving client delivery
  • Create client-facing content using PowerPoint; analyze and report on data
  • Consult directly with clients and provide OCM Support designed to help them navigate their most complex business and technology challenges
  • Work cross-functionally within the Cognizant Consulting practice to deliver flawless results that really work; this includes managing all levels of engagements and collaborating with other solution work streams.
  • Using Cognizant framework, facilitate discussions, surveys, focus groups, and workshops to articulate vision, understand client needs, and gather input to create client recommendations and roadmap
  • Support the creation of targeted change management plans including communications planning, change impacts, organizational readiness, and training plans
  • Contribute to business development and thought leadership efforts on an annual basis
  • Exhibit thoughtfulness, personal leadership, empathy, and professionalism

Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years of experience in a professional setting; experience may be as a business analyst, analyst, consultant, coordinator, administration, PR, communications, or teaching
  • Experience with and/or desire to entrench oneself in Organization, Training, Professional Services, Program Management, or equivalent; the willingness to be a self-starter and build a career in Consulting and OCM
  • Strong working knowledge or the desire to learn the planning and implementation of some of the following change or transformation management activities: stakeholder analysis & engagement; communications strategy, planning and execution; program branding and promotion; key message development, change agent network, impact assessment, organization design & alignment, change readiness, end user training, and digital transformations
  • Experience working in a client-facing capacity; previous experience in a management consulting firm or transferrable skills that enable success in a client-facing environment
  • Previous experience shaping, leading, and guiding external parties through changes
  • Ability to lead or work on multiple, large, time-sensitive projects or work streams
  • Industry experience across any of the following can be helpful: Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Health Care, Life Sciences, Retail, Consumer Products, Manufacturing & Logistics, Travel & Hospitality and Technology, Energy, Oil & Gas (MLEU)
  • Being adaptability, creative, clear, process-driven, approachable, and dedicated
  • The willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, depending on the project
  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or Master’s Degree Preferred
