Your Role & Mission As an early and strategic member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for unifying Apollo's data stack and enabling all teams to confidently make data-based decisions to inform Apollo's growth & go to market strategy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent data gathering and reporting skills, strategic, detail-oriented, and motivated. This role reports to the Vice President of Revenue. Competencies/Key Traits: · Passionate about solving complex systems of data challenges · Highly tolerant and resilient towards change and ambiguity · Analytical thinker and methodical troubleshooter · Excellent communication skills · Strong interpersonal skills · Favors collaboration and teamwork · Effective negotiator but also a consensus builder · Biased towards strong engineering standards and practices as well as data security and privacy · A deliberate and thoughtful partner who is thorough, objective, versatile, trustworthy, dedicated, and conscientious Daily Adventures and Responsibilities: · Meet with key stakeholders and understand their current needs and future expectations · Execute on hiring plan & build a team · Architect the data models to enable deep reporting into the business · Ensure accuracy and stability of the data models · Manage and maintain the analytics data stack, balancing performance and cost but with accuracy and actionability at the forefront Skills & Relevant Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, statistics, or other quantitative fields · 10+ years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Science, or other related disciplines · 5+ years of experience managing teams at various levels of seniority · 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and managing scalable data pipelines and platforms, as well as building analytic products that consume them in large-scale data environments · Experience in leadership roles leading and scaling large analytic teams while reporting to executives or C-Level · Experience with cloud-based (ex: AWS) technologies and modern data-warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Firebolt, Redshift, as well as with NoSQL document stores such as MongoDB · Experience with ETL and data pipelining frameworks and technologies such as DBT, Airflow, Spark, Luigi · Experience with BI or data visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Sisense, Mode · Deep knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, data architecture, and relational data modeling · Experience working in both high-growth startup environments as well as scaling data products and teams in large enterprise settings · Deep knowledge of modern SaaS-based metrics and reporting · Experience with modeling CRM data and modern SaaS-based platforms and services What You'll Love About Apollo Besides the great compensation package and culture that thrives in openness and excellence, we invest tremendous effort into developing our remote employees' careers.
