Position: Senior Agile Coach

Department: Product and Technology

Reports to: Head of Coaching

Location: London

The Opportunity

Just Eat Takeaway is looking for a Senior Agile Coach to join the new Coaching org and be part of this exciting new area. Although we already follow Agile and Lean principles for many years now, this role is going to be vital in delivering change across the business and making teams more adaptive, creative and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Head of Coaching and Principal coaches on delivering measurable and demonstrable initiatives
• Be an active member of the Coaching chapter/guild to build best practices across JET
• Coach and mentor teams and Delivery Managers
• Problem identification and solving across the organisation
• Bring to JET the latest on good practices from the Agile and Lean communities

• A leader with the ability to see a problem, step in and then step out when appropriate
• Passionate about ‘being better’ with ability to create an appetite for continuous improvement across the organisation
• A coach who is driven by the personal development of all of those around them

• An excellent stakeholder manager, influencer with great communication and presentation skills
• Highly collaborative with fantastic facilitation skills
• Enthusiastic with a sense of pride in the work delivered and the quality of how it was delivered
• An open and honest individual who both welcomes and provides feedback in a way that is constructive and thoughtful

Your experience

The successful candidate should have experience in:

• Implementing Agile across an organisation and translating principles into practices that work for everyone
• Working closely with engineering and product teams in fast paced businesses
• Managing and influencing stakeholders
• Problem solving individually or leading a team to solve problems, taking on difficult challenges and coming up with new solutions
• Mentoring and coaching colleagues in great delivery practices
• Building continuous improvements into the delivery processes and successfully sharing improvements with others
• Change management and leading cross-functional teams
• Agile coaching work
• Influencing Engineers, QAs, BAs and Product Managers, Content, SEO, Design Ux and other chapters in Agile approaches
• Leading delivery for multiple teams including using metrics and reporting to drive change
• Making significant improvements to team’s ways of working that has led to noticeable improvements in it’s success metrics

Your knowledge

• Agile methodologies and how it can be implemented in a variety of models and organisations.
• Project, agile and delivery principles with a deep understanding of the full software delivery life cycle and process optimisation
• Current and emerging technology trends
• Individual psychological approaches
• Industry standard tooling (e.g. Jira) and how to apply them in various situations
