Job Description

Curology is an innovative and fast-growing healthcare company and beauty brand. We are seeking three law students to join our San Francisco legal department this summer. You be part of the team that has an immediate impact on Curology and on the future of direct-to-consumer healthcare. Curology moves fast and you will help us respond to a changing regulatory and consumer landscape.

In this role, you will support Curology’s legal department in all legal matters, including marketing, licensing, regulatory compliance, and privacy. You will learn how to partner with business leaders and present legal information in a way that is easy to understand. As an intern on a small team, you will have significant opportunities for growth and professional development. This is a paid internship position. What you'll do

• Touch several different areas of law including healthcare, data privacy, and marketing
• Assist in review of all marketing materials
• Research state medical licensing requirements
• Help Curology develop and refine legally-compliant policies and procedures
• Partner with the business teams to provide guidance and advice
• Review data privacy agreements with third party vendors
• Become familiar with the laws that affect Curology, including CCPA, HIPAA, AB5, and the corporate practice of medicine.

What you'll need

• You are a 1L or 2L.
• You are available full time (~40 hours per week) for 10-12 weeks over the summer.
• You are passionate about health care, telemedicine, marketing, tech, privacy and/or start-ups.
• You are a self-starter with high personal accountability and insatiable curiosity.
• You are organized and process driven and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.
