Product Writer

Job Description

NationBuilder is seeking a Product Writer to join our Product Team to clearly and concisely communicate product concepts and workflows in writing. Your primary responsibility is to develop a unified voice for our documentation and content strategy. You will work closely with the Customer Engagement, Customer Support, Design, Engineering, and Marketing teams to delight and educate our customers, bringing expertise in technical writing, editorial process, and microcopy. NationBuilder creates software for leaders of all kinds - political candidates, nonprofit organizations, and anyone building a community of people to make change happen in the world. • Treat documentation like a product by generating written/video content for new features and improving high-traffic articles/product tours to reduce support request volume
• Design in-product content strategy standards and write all interface microcopy
• Own localization and internationalization processes alongside our international expansion strategy
• Advocate for a high-quality user experience by executing quality assurance plans for releases
• Maintain public roadmap and release notes

We are looking for:

• 2 years of professional experience with technical writing as a primary responsibility
• Clear, direct, and open communication
• Systems thinking and obsession with building processes that produce consistent results
• Sufficient understanding of HTML, CSS, and APIs to craft technical documentation
• Ability to collaborate across multiple projects and manage priority effectively
• Experience with UX writing or equivalent education/certification (nice to have)
• Familiarity with Liquid template language (nice to have)
• Fluency in French and/or Spanish (nice to have)
• Passions in addition to tech. Maybe you’re an artist or a musician, love to knit or cook, or are obsessed with the outdoors
