UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a
Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our
Reproductive Care Clinic , which is located at our Roosevelt Center.
WORK SCHEDULE Per diem hours
Preference will be given to RNs who can work at least two 8 hour shifts each week, Monday - Friday
Must be available to work one half-day weekend shift (8:00am-12:00pm) each month
Holiday coverage will be required several times a year
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our clinic offers comprehensive care for individuals and couples of all backgrounds who are trying to conceive. Our services include hormone replacement therapy, fertility preservation, genetic testing, infertility testing, IVF, and donor and gestational carrier cycle coordination. Our clinic is a designated Aetna Center of Excellence and a LIVESTRONG Consortium member. This is a great opportunity to join a team that provides compassionate, personalized care to our community.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage patient flow through cycles of ovulation induction, artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, and frozen embryo transfers
Provide procedural support during sonographic egg retrievals and similar IVF processes
Receive and communicate lab test results to physicians and patients
Support patients who are undergoing hormone replacement therapy
Provide care coordination services to our community partners, including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital
Manage pre-authorizations and referrals
Provide welcoming care to individuals of all backgrounds, including single parents, LGBTQ couples, medically high-risk patients, and patients seeking elective fertility preservation
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of recent OBGYN, women’s health, PACU, or procedural nursing experience
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
BLS Certification
